JAMMU, Dec 7: The Inter Battalion Sports Meet-2017 concluded with an impressive closing function held at Police Sports Stadium, Gulshan Ground here this evening. In all, 797 sports personnel and athletics including women players, representing 28 battalions of Armed Police and IRP, participated in the 6-day long tournament.
Earlier, the Additional Director General of Police, Armed AK Chaudhary welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries.
He said that this event was organised to give a fillip to the sports activities in the Armed Police and to spot the sportspersons who can represent J&K Police in National Police events. IGP Armed Jammu Zone, SA Watali presented vote of thanks. He thanked the guests particularly the retired police officers, media fraternity.
Trophies and prizes were distributed among the winning teams and athletes.
He congratulated the winners and advised them to refine their talent for other competitions.
