JAMMU, Nov 13: As part of its efforts to fight the growing crime rate in the winter capital, Jammu and Kashmir police today asked people to report anything that arouses suspicion and also provide information about their tenants and domestic helps for vetting.
Superintendent of Police (SP) City North Dr Vinod Kumar also asked traders to install CCTV cameras with night vision outside their businesses to keep a watch on the people moving around.
“We request people to report any suspicious movement in their areas and also provide information about their tenants and domestic help so that their credentials can be cross- checked”, Kumar told reporters during a press conference here today.

A total of over 500 such phones were recovered over the past one year, the officer said.
