Sir,
I invite the attention of the Governor of the great injustice done to the pre-2006 retirees of Jammu & Kashmir while implementing the 7th pay commission recommendations in the State. The Central Government has fixed 28 years as qualifying service for its pre-2006 retirees for fixing the pension. The State Government for very strange and unfortunate reasons has retained 33 years as qualifying service for fixing pension of its employees who retired before 2006. It will not be out of place here to mention that Hon’ble Supreme Court has also given direction that the pre-2006 retirees should be given the benefit of 28 years as qualifying service for fixing their pension.
I request Governor Vohra to give justice to the pre-2006 retirees of J&K Government. Pre-2006 retirees shall feel gratified by this gesture of the Governor.
