Induction programme organized for B-Tech students at BGSBU

RAJOURI, Nov 2: The School of Engineering and Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, organized a one- day Induction Programme in the purview of its ‘Induction Series’ for its first semester B-Tech students under the aegis of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III).
The aim of the programme was to familiarize the students about the Mission and Vision and the structural organization of University Engineering College. It was aimed to provide an insight to the students about the existing system, which would be helpful to them during their stay at the University for next 4 years. The objective was also to make the students understand the relevance of the course curriculum so as to help them carve a niche for themselves in the society after completion o their study at BGSBU.
Prof M Asgar, Dean School of Engineering and Technology & Dean Student Welfare, assured the fresher that all the support shall be extended from the College and University to make their stay comfortable.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Iqbal Parvez, Registrar and Dean Academic Affairs BGSBU and Coordinator TEQIP-III, said he envisioned that these budding engineers are a key to a knowledgeable society and a strong nation.
The event was coordinated by Vishal Puri, Head Department of ECE. and Dr Farhad Ilahi Bakhsh, Asst Prof. SoET.  The Programme witnessed active participation of all the new students and faculty members. Heads of various departments delivered series of lectures highlighting the organizational structure of the University, statues of B-Tech programme, discipline and Do’s & Don’ts in the University, effective study, moral ethics and scopes of different fields in Engineering.
