India’s “Catch It” app to go global

SINGAPORE, Nov 27:  “Catch It” will be the first India-made app to be marketed globally, its Gurgaon-based producer said.
Catch It, which enables users to share images, videos, contacts other communications, was among the six finalist apps in the first SingTel Group-Samsung Regional Mobile App Challenge announced yesterday.
“Catch It is designed for the global market,” Imran Ladiwala, founder and chief executive of getcatchit.Com said after receiving the finalist award.
Wattcost from Australia, which turns a home into the smart home of the future through enhanced internet network, won the top ranking in the awards.
The other four finalists were photo-collection app Jepret Story from Indonesia, game’-app Epic Life from the Philippines, travel-planner Fiuzu from Singapore and parent-teacher app for monitoring student’s school bus journey safety Nugrean from Thailand.
The challenge was organized by Singapore’s SingTel, Australia’s Optus, Airtel India and Africa, Telkomsel of Indonesia, Globe Telecom of the Philippines and AIS of Thailand in partnership with Samsung.
Over 500 app submissions were received from around the region. (PTI)
