JAMMU, Aug 6: To give fillip to Self Defence and Personality Development in general and women folk in particular, Indian Yungmudo Association of J&K held an impressive function at Jagti Township, here today.
Relief Commissioner (Migrants), ML Raina was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the medal winners in this sport at the National level.
Four silver medalists in the recently held Nationals at Nasik in Maharashtra including Deepika Pandita, Rekha Kardar, Sumita Pandita and Rahul Bhat were felicitated by the chief guest for their outstanding achievement.
The other participants included Parshotam Padroo, Anil Koul and Haresh Bhardwaj.
Mr Raina while speaking on the occasion lauded the players for their brilliant show at the National scene.
He stressed upon the youth to involve themselves more and more in sporting and allied activities to not to derail from the mainstream.
