JAMMU, May 15: New era of music learning commences in Jammu with the launch of Indian Idol Academy, a first of its kind performing arts academy for young learners at Gandhi Nagar.
The academy provides children access to music, singing and performance training, learning from major music legends with the most direct access possible in a classroom setting.
The academy instills a deep love of music in all children, increases their confidence and improves their ability to focus. The initial programmes of the academy provide basic music education to all children. More advanced programmes are available to children who have talent and motivation to study advanced singing. All programmes are targeted at children from age group of 5 to 16 years.
Academy campus includes brick-and-mortar learning centres as well as technology-enabled devices and mediums that are used to provide specific kinds of learning experiences.
The course structure has been designed by an academic council led by eminent music celebrities like Hariharan, Salim Merchant, Kavitha Krishnamurty, Alka Yagnik, Anand Sharma and Vikram Ghosh, who also deliver their wisdom to the children. Children from all over the country receive similar learning from the stars.
The first programme “Jaago–Music Enriches Life” has been launched. It is a two hour interactive workshop to be attended by children with their guardians. The workshop would be followed by digital auditions.
While the Academy is deigned for all who love music, it also facilitates exclusive entry to the Indian Idol Junior Show auditions for talented children.
Indian Idol Academy has been brought to the city of Jammu by Windscreen Media, a Mumbai based Media Company which has been in this field for more than 20 years.
