India, Bhutan share special relationship: President

NEW DELHI, Dec 16:
India and Bhutan share a special relationship and it is a shining example of good neighbourly relations, President Pranab Mukherjee today said.
Greeting King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and the people of Bhutan on the eve of their National Day, he said, “Over the years, our close bonds of friendship have strengthened and our wide ranging cooperation has diversified in all areas of our shared interest.”
“Our enduring friendship owes a great deal to the wisdom and commitment of successive Druk Gyalpos, including Your Majesty,” he said in a message to the King.
Bhutan celebrates its National Day on December 17.
“On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me immense pleasure to extend to Your Majesty and the friendly people of Bhutan my heartiest greetings on the occasion of your National Day,” Mukherjee said. (PTI)
