JAMMU, Dec 30: The indefinite protest demonstration which started on Dec 27 by SOS International today entered day 4.
The protest was today led by V.K Datta who was accompanied by Dharam Vir Gupta, Amar Nath, Aman Sharma, Ankur Sharma and Balwan Singh.
Addressing the protesters Datta said that successive Governments discriminated with PoK displaced persons by not giving them the rights to live in a dignified way.
“BJP has betrayed us the most and compelled us to teach lesson to the party in forthcoming elections,” he said.
He further said that those teaching human values first see themselves how they have violated human rights of displaced PoK people for the last over seven decades.
Datta informed that indefinite protest demonstration was launched over main key issues related to PoK displaced people which include implementation of PoK DPs package passed by NC-Congress cabinet in 2014 in toto, implementation of uniform policy for all the migrants/displaced communities, establishment of corridors for PoK displaced people to visit their religious places and shrines in PoK, restoration of 1/3rd i.e., 8 seats lying vacant for PoK areas in Legislative Assembly, inclusion of 5300 displaced families living outside the J&K in the ambit of package for PoK displaced people and return of cash deposits of PoK displaced people lying in the J&K Bank, Mirpur Branch.
