Inaugurations won’t delay use of public assets: Guv

Excelsior Correspondent
SRINAGAR, July 25: Governor N N Vohra today directed that all completed buildings and projects which are awaiting formal inauguration should be put to immediate use, without any further loss of time, in the larger public interest.
While reviewing various developmental schemes/projects in Kupwara today, the Governor noted that over 10 buildings which stand completed have not yet been made functional merely for want of formal inauguration.
He directed the Commissioner Planning & Monitoring Department to issue directions to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments and Deputy Commissioners in the  State to ensure immediate use of all completed buildings/assets as this would go a very long way in ensuring utilisation of valuable resources.
Vohra has also directed that all completed buildings/projects should carry a simple plaque which dedicates the building/project to the people of the area (to be indicated) and also indicates the details of commencement/completion of the project; the cost of the project and the date on which it was made functional.
