Imran scores 74 in Nowshera Club’s big win

RAJOURI/SAMBA, May 29: Imran scored brilliant 74 runs to guide Nowshera Cricket Club to a big win over Haider Cricket Club in the ongoing Rajouri District JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at District Police Lines ground, here.
Batting first, Nowshera Cricket Club scored a big total of 243 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 30 overs. Imran top scored with power-packed 74 off 36 balls, studded with 12 fours and 3 sixes, while Shanker contributed 41 runs to the total. Molin Khan took 3 wickets from Haider Cricket Club, while Umar Farooq and Ibrar Khan claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Haider Cricket Club managed to score 190 runs in 27 overs. Ibrar Khan and Kashif Wani contributed 37 and 28 runs to the total respectively. For Nowshera Cricket Club, Pankaj took 3 wickets, while Parveen and Kashish claimed 2 wickets each. Imran of Nowshera Cricket Club wasa adjudged as the man of the match.
Meanwhile, in Samba District JKCA Premier Championship, Saheed Cricket Club defeated Ramgarh Cricket Club by 25 runs at Pandit Prem Nath Dogra ground, Samilpur, Samba.
Batting first, Saheed Cricket Club scored 130 runs in 19.4 overs. Ankush, Sachin and Suresh contributed 24, 22 and 20 runs to the total respectively. Aman, Neraj and Badal took 2 wickets each from Ramgarh Cricket Club.
In reply, Ramgarh Cricket Club bundled out for 105 runs in 18.3 overs. Vinod and Neeraj contributed 23 and 21 runs to the total respectively. Susheel was the wrecker-in-chief from Saheed Cricket Club, who scalped 4 important wickets.
