JAMMU, Nov 15: President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subash Shastri has appealed to the Prime Minister and Union Finance Minister to take a final decision in accepting the recommendations of Ashok Lavasa Committee report before the upcoming session of parliament.
A handout of NMC stated that Lavasa committee report proposes a minimum pay scale of Rs18,000 to the lower class employees.
In a meeting other demands raised by the NMC leaders included enhancing medical allowance to Rs 1000 per month in favour of state pensioners besides total exemption of DA from income tax and increasing the wages of daily rated workers from Rs 225 to Rs 500 per day.
Prominent among those who were present in the meeting included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar and others.
