BHADERWAH, Mar 2: Forest Department seized 472.07 cft illicit timber and arrested one person.
As per official spokesman, the sleuths of Forest Department led by Mohammad Haroon Khan, Incharge, Central Forest Control Room, Bhaderwah, Mushtaq Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed, Tariq Hussain, Mohammad Ayoub, Akhter Hussain and Bal Krishan under the supervision of Vivek Verma, Divisional Forest Officer, Bhaderwah carried out search operations in all ranges of Forest Division Bhaderwah.
During the search operations conducted in Forest Range Chiralla, Forest Range Kellar, Forest Range Kellar, Forest Range Bhalesh and Forest Neru Range and seized 472.07 cft illicit timber. One person identified as Ishtaq Ahmed Malik, son of Abdul Ganie Malik was also arrested during the search operations.
Cases have been registered against the culprits under different Sections of Forest Act and investigation started.
