Illicit liquor seized in Bishnah

JAMMU, May 29: Bishnah police today seized about 40 litres of illicit desi liquor from village Khairi.
“On specific information, a police party of police station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector PP Singh, conducted a raid at Village Khairi and recovered  40 litres of desi liquior being concealed in a tyre tube which was to be sold in the market”, a police spokesman said.
He said that the liquor was seized on the spot but taking advantage of the dense plants/trees the accused, which were about two in number, managed to escape.
In this connection, a case FIR No 119/2017 under Section 48 A Excise Act was registered at police station Bishnah. The recovery was made by police team led by SHO Bishnah, Inspector PP Singh, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu, Sakshi Kotwal.
