DODA, Apr 14: Karara police busted illicit liquor manufacturing racket and arrested four persons.
As per police sources, a team from Karara police post conducted raid and unearthed illicit liquor manufacturing racket by arresting four persons.
The accused have been identified as Mukesh Kumar, son of Shiv Lal, Bhuri Singh, son of Devi Chand, Omkar Singh, son of Jagdev Singh and Baldev Singh, son of Devi Chand, all residents of Bollian, Tehsil-Chiralla, District Doda.
Police also recovered 22 litres lahan and 20 litres illicit liquor, which was later destroyed.
A case under FIR Number 24/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Thathri and investigation started.
Police team led by ASI Mohammad Sharif made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
