Iknoor lifts Cadet Girls’ title by beating Hargun

JAMMU, Aug 20: On the 2nd day of 2nd Stag Jammu Open Table Tennis Championship, Iknoor Kour lifted the Cadet Girls’ title by outplaying Hargun Kour in straight sets.
Former senior State Table Tennis player, Sanjeev Gupta also visited the academy along with other senior player Maninder Singh and watched the Cadet Boys semi final stage match.
In final of Cadet Boys upto 12 Years, Akhilesh beat Kunwarjeet Singh by 11-9, 12-10 and 12-10 while Rohan Langar defeated Karmanya Sharma by 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 7-11 and 11-7.
In final of Cadet Girls upto 12 years, Iknoor Kour thrashed Hargun Kour by 11-7, 11-6 and 11-5
While in pre quarter of Sub Junior Boy’s upto 14 years, Manaya beat Dhananjay by 11-7 and 11-9, Karmanya beat Aarit Badgotra by 11-4 and 11-6, Sudhikeshen defeated Amar by 11-6 and 11-5, Rohan Langar outplayed Shiv Arpit by 11-5 and 11-8, Mahi Kalu thrashed his rival by 11-6 and 11-8, Akhilesh trounced Shivain Goel by 11-5 and 11-6, Karmanya Wahi lost to Nikhil by 8-11, 11-8 and 7-11, Pargun beat Harshit by 11-6 and 11-3, and Shaksham defeated Priyash Singh by 11-6 and 11-7.
In semi final of Sub Junior Girls (14 years), Iknoor Kour beat Archita by 12-10 and 12-5 while Hargun thrashed Meghna Jain by 11-7, 8-11 and 11-8.
Men’s Singles and Doubles matches will be played on Sunday from 10 am onwards.
