IGP Security stresses upon cops to remain vigilant

JAMMU, Sept 27: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Security J&K Alok Kumar stressed upon the security personnel to remain vigilant while performing their duties.
He stated this while reviewing security arrangements at Jammu Airport. He was accompanied by Rajinder Gupta, SSP AHJ Airport Jammu, Deputy SSP AHJ Airport Jagdev Singh Slathia and other officers and officials.
At the outset, SSP AHJ presented the welcome address and briefed the IGP regarding security duties at Airport Jammu.
IGP Security J&K addressed the security personnel wherein stress was made to remain vigilant while performing security duties especially at X-Ray scanner points, cargo point and in case of any suspicious movement of passengers and material, information should be immediately passed to their supervisory officers.
Proper monitoring of arrival and departure movements through CCTV cameras be carried out. Need to strengthen the security grid in and around the Airport by way of proper deployment and proper profiling of the passengers should also be carried out.
On the occasion, rank ceremony of 7 Constables was also held who were promoted to the rank of Selection Grade Constables.
Sh. Jagdev Singh Salathia, Dy. SP AHJ who has been transferred as SDPO Ramnagar after a successful stint at Airport Jammu was given a warm farewell by all ranks of Airport Jammu.
Rajinder Gupta, SSP AHJ Airport Jammu wished him good luck for his future assignment in presence of IGP Security J&K.
