JAMMU, Nov 5: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone Dr SD Singh reviewed the security arrangements made on the opening of the Darbar Move in the winter capital tomorrow.
He reviewed the security arrangements in a meeting, which was attended by police officers of Jammu district at PCR here today.
At the outset of the meeting, SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta briefed to Dr Singh about the police and security arrangements being made on the CM routes for smooth passage and outer periphery of the civil secretariat to dealing with any law and order problems.
Dr Singh advised the SSP Jammu, jurisdictional SPs and SDPOs of Jammu district to personally brief the officers and men deployed regarding nature and importance of duties to be performed by them keeping in view present security scenario.
He also directed the officers to maintain close coordination with the officers and men of Armed Battalions deployed for the purpose and ensure that utmost alertness should be maintained to foil the nefarious designs of ANEs and maintain law and order at any cost.
IGP Jammu Zone said that the checking and frisking system at nakas in city and its outskirts needs to be geared up and made purposeful. Besides, adequate number of police component should be kept at appropriate locations to deal with law and order issue.
Dr Singh also directed SSP Jammu, SSP Traffic City and all Zonal SPs of Jammu district to take special care of traffic jams especially on CM routes and also throughout Jammu city during crucial hours to avoid inconvenience to the general public.
The meeting was attended by DIG JSK Range, SSP Traffic City Jammu, SSP PCR Jammu, Additional DC Jammu, SP City North, South, Headquarters and Rural Jammu, SP Operation Jammu, Additional SP CID SB, Jammu, Additional SP PCR Jammu, SDPOs of North, West, South and East, DySP District Special Branch Jammu and DySP DAR DPL, Jammu.
