IGP Jammu flags off J&K Handicapped Cricketers for Challangers Trophy

JAMMU, Sept 21: Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu flagged Off J&K Physically Handicapped Cricketers for Indian Divyang Challengers Trophy in an impressive function at Zonal Police Headquarters, here.
The four J&K Physically Handicapped cricketers namely Nadeem Bhat from Reasi, Amir Rather from Baramulla, Firdous Choudhary from Kishtwar and Jagmohan Singh from Reasi have been picked to participate in “Indian Divyang Challengers Trophy” which will be held from September 24 to September 28, 2018 at Vadodara.
Top 56 divyang cricketers from all over the country have been selected for the Trophy.
The objective of the Trophy is to selection the Indian team.
Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer apprised the IGP Jammu that during the last three years number of cricket events for the state divyang cricketers and coaching camps were organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu at Jammu in order to provide practice matches to these cricketers and the national coaching camp was conducted at JKCA Cricket ground.
Senior Players Nadeem Bhat and Amir Rather extended thanks to IGP Jammu for providing them opportunity to showcase their skill.
IGP Jammu while speaking on the occasion said that he felt happy to see the enthusiasm of J&K handicapped cricketers for playing cricket matches and performing well in the national matches.
IGP also assured Divang cricketers of all help in futue also.
