IG lauds role of IRP in public services

JAMMU, Oct 29: The IRP men of various battalions stationed at  Channi Himmat  organized a  `Darbar of  Nafri’  at APC Complex,  here in which  IGP  IR Jammu Zone addressed about 500 jawans and officers of IRP, in view of Darbar move from summer capital Srinagar to winter capital Jammu from  October 31 onwards.
The Inspector General of Police IRP Jammu, Yoginder Kaul, highlighted the contributions of IRP as they have rendered exemplary services by the dint of their dedication and valour while performing their duties during Parliamentary & Assembly elections,  Shri Amarnath Yatra,  Machail Yatra  and other pilgrimages duties besides law & order duties in different districts of Jammu zone during the year-2014 and 2015.
All jawans and officers were briefed to maintain highest standard of fitness and mental strength in dealing with law & order situations. It was impressed upon that tolerance, patience, discipline are imperative requirements of any belt force and as such for attaining the same emphasis be laid in sports discipline, training etc. The officers were impressed upon to provide an exemplary leadership to the jawans to keep it well greased machinery and ready round the clock.
Dalip Kumar, SSP Commandant IRP-19th Bn and RS Manhas-SP, IRP 4th Bn also spoke on the occasion. Among others who attended Darbar proceedings included GOs of IRP-4th/14th/17th/19th battalions including SSP APCR Jammu  Sham Sunder Sharma,  Roop Raj Bhagat-SSP Commandant IRP-17th Bn and DySP Mohan Lal Thakur Staff Officer to IGP  IR Jammu. DySP Manzoor Hussain IRP-4th Battalion coducted the proceedings.
