JAMMU, Feb 19: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) and All Jammu Civil Society Forum (AJCSF) paid tributes to the martyred CRPF, Army and police personnel.
In a meeting here today DSS president, Gulchain Singh Charak claimed that there are elements from outside Jammu region that were trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere here to create a communal divide.
He exhorted all political, religious, social and other organizations to come under one umbrella to save the Dogra region from a ruin.
“It was Dogras of all communities from this region who jointly built this State and they have a combined responsibility to protect it,” Charak said.
He further said that there is a dire need of identifying and isolating bad elements who celebrated the carnage of duty bound CRPF personnel and also caused grave provocations by raising anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans.
Charak further said that continuous curfew is like punishing the law abiding nationalist population, tourists and pilgrims.
Prominent among those who were present in the meeting were DSS vice president, Col Karan Singh; Gen Secretary, Prem Sagar Gupta; Brig M.S Jamwal (retd) and Col Dr Virendra K. Sahi, (retd).
