ICCR’s J&K Cultural Show outshines in ‘Colours of India’

JAMMU, Jan 9: ‘J&K Cultural Show’ presented by the artists of ICCR Jammu out shined in the programme ‘Colors of India’ organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, at the 14th Pravasi Bhartiya Utsav in the International Convention Centre, Bangalore.
The presentation ‘J&K Cultural Show’ devised, designed and directed by Balwant Thakur received the standing ovation of the representatives of 30 million NRIs and PIOs coming from across the world.
Terming this as a great accomplishment of ICCR Jammu, the Regional Director of ICCR Balwant Thakur complimented his team of artists for achieving high professional standards. It was a great moment of honor and pride for the state of Jammu and Kashmir that the world prestigious programme was opened with the programme devised and presented by the artists of the State.
200 top artists representing all classical dances of India and select few regional folk forms participated in this spectacular show which kept the entire audience of over 10,000 in number spellbound throughout. The entire audience after the show was seen curious to have a glimpse of the artists of J&K who infact got a hero’s welcome in this prestigious event.
The proud artists of the Jammu and Kashmir who participated in 14th Pravasi Bhartiya Utsav held in Bengaluru include Sunny Mujjoo, Asha Kotwal, Deepak Kumar, Deepali Sharma, Saloni Verma and Jyoti Kumari.
