ICccR & HRM hosts Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme in JU

JAMMU, Aug 19: International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu,  in collaboration with Jammu Startup Community,  today hosted an interactive Entrepreneurship Accelerator Meet.
The resource persons for the programme were  Pallvi Sharma, an actor and performer from the State of J&K and presently working in a corporate in Mumbai and  Rajani Verma and  Sahil Verma, founders, puremart.in,  Ishan Verma, founder and CEO, Nentoir and  Anubhav and  Sahil, founder, Foodivry.
This Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme was organised with the objective of bringing together entrepreneurs and the students of the MBA (International Business) Programme, who are the future entrepreneurs.
Professor Deepak Raj Gupta, Director, ICccR & HRM, JU,  highlighted the relevance of conducting such a programme wherein the real life experiences of the entrepreneurs can be tapped by the students and idea generation may be encouraged wherein the students can explore entrepreneurial activities and seek start-up initiatives as a career option. Professor Gupta said that under the able leadership of Professor R D  Sharma, Vice Chancellor, JU  the vision of Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Founder Director, ICccR & HRM, JU and presently Director, IIM, Sirmaur, the International Centre is now bringing home several opportunities to create a platform for the students to demonstrate their latent potential. He added that innovation and creativity are the two elements that significantly differentiate performers from the non-performers.
Following the Stand-up Comedy act,  Rajani Verma and  Sahil Verma highlighted the challenges that they  faced and the various motivational elements that kept them  walking towards the  goal achievement. They also explained  various legal formalities and implications for entering into a business venture.
Ishan Verma  expressed his entrepreneurial journey that was primarily technology based but relevant for public domain (Health sector, education,   e-commerce etc.).  It is pertinent to mention that  Ishan was recipient of public funding from the SMVDU Incubation Centre that fostered his technology platform across India and abroad.
Anubhav and Sahil, Founder, Foodivry, an online food ordering and catering service of Jammu, deliberated upon the need for having entrepreneurial quest at very young age that under the ambit of experience and learning generates opportunities and marketable ideas.
