The I-League football series presently underway in Kashmir will surely give a big boost to sports sector, particularly, football in the Valley.
The football league has turned out to be a great success as football fans are thronging the stadium in great numbers. What is a matter of great delight is that the spectators are watching these matches with great enthusiasm and interest. While watching these matches, they have shown sportsmanship attitude by giving due respect to each contesting team, though sentiments may sway towards their home team. The organisers deserve due appreciation for holding such an event. The I-League may provide a great relief to people who have suffered during disturbances in Kashmir.
The football is emerging as one of the more lovable games in Kashmir valley. Many football players have emerged on national scene due to enthusiasm and love for the game. Hope, such events are organised on regular basis in this State.
However, it should be kept in mind that all games deserve same treatment as is given to football.
