HWSK hopes CM will put her words into deeds

JAMMU, Feb 15: Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir (HWSK) a body of non migrant Kashmiri Pandits has expressed the hope that the Government will strictly implement the directives of Chief Minister who recently has asked the Relief and Rehabilitation Ministry for enrolling non migrant KPs in the welfare schemes of the Government.
In a statement issued here, today said that extending the benefits under welfare schemes to non migrants was their demand since 1990 as the KPs still living in Valley are facing many miseries and are passing difficulties due to turmoil and their economic and social conditions are day by day deteriorating due to non seriousness of the Government.
HWSK said that 50 families of KPs could not get accommodation in transit camps after their houses got damaged due to natural calamities. Moreover the youth could not get jobs and trade was also hit due to turmoil in Kashmir. Even the education of the children was affected over the years and they could not cope with changing world due to militancy.
A boy from village Chandrigam Ashmuqam in Anantnag district went missing some years back and till date he was not traced which has added to the miseries of poor family.
HWSK said that it had demanded establishment of 50 Anganwadi centers in 10 districts of Valley but till date nothing was done in this regard. It expressed the hope that Government will take concrete steps in putting its words into deeds.
