Husband arrested for killing wife

JAMMU, May 26: Khour police worked out a murder case of a lady by putting her husband behind the bars.
As per police sources, an information was received by Khour police station yesterday that a lady identified as Geeta Devi (35), wife of Ravinder Kumar of Pahariwala, Pallanwala tehsil Khour was lying in pool of blood in her house.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and after completing legal and medical formalities, handed over the body to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under FIR Number 33/17 under Section 302 RPC was registered and started investigation.
During the course of investigation, police came to know that the deceased was tortured by her husband in the past.
Acting over the clue, police teams conducted raids in several locations and finally apprehended the deceased’s husband, who during questioning broke down and confessed to commit the murder. The weapon of offence was also recovered on the disclosure of the accused.
Police team led by SHO Khour SI Jeet Singh solved the murder case and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
