JAMMU, Feb 25: Even as the ongoing  hunger strike by Contractual Lecturers (10+2) entered into 12th day on Saturday, there was no response by the Government to their demand for regularization as per the Civil Services Special Provision Act.2010, a policy  framed for the regularization of all the ad-hoc/contractual/consolidated employees after rendering seven years of service.
While addressing the protest dharna,  Arun Bakshi,  State president of 10+2 Contractual Lecturers Forum, sought to explain  that all the contractual lecturers are to be continued  vide order no.1584-edu.of 2003 and vide order no.1328 of GAD.
He announced that the  agitating Contractual Lecturers have decided for do or die and the Government would be responsible for any trouble.
Vinod Kumar, a senior member of the Forum and one of the Contractual Lecturers,  who is on fast unto death since February 14, reiterated that he would continue his fast till the Government concedes their demand of regularization.
Besides  Vinod Kumar, some other Contractual Lecturers are observing chain hunger strike. Those who sat on hunger strike today, included Shilpa, Payal Rajput, Sanjay Kumar and Nayeem Bhat.
They vowed to continue the struggle to a logical conclusion.
