HSS holds protest outside Governor House

JAMMU, Jan 18: Hindu Shiv Sena (HSS) held a protest against the issuance of Rs 5 and Rs 10 coins by Reserve Bank of India through Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) having monogram of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
The activists of HSS assembled outside Governor House under the chairmanship of its president Krishan Manhas and raised slogans. The protestors were demanding non-issuance of the coins having monogram of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
Manhas while addressing the gathering said that the coins issued by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) having monogram of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi will be used and handled by everyone thus insulting the sentiments of the Hindus.
He asked RBI to stop issuing the same through SMVDSB otherwise HSS will launch agitation.
Among others present were Arjun Sharma, senior State vice president, Harish Gupta, Ashish Dogra, Binny Mahajan, Ashok Jandyal, etc.
