HS Dalwas lifts U-14, 17 girls kho-kho titles

BATOTE, Apr 25: Government High School Dalwas girls lifted twin kho-kho titles in the Inter-School Under-14 and Under-17 Tournament for boys and girls in the disciplines of kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho and badminton, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded at Government Higher Secondary School, here today.
Earlier, HS Dalwas defeated GHS Batote in both Under-14 and Under-17 girls finals.
Meanwhile, in kabaddi Under-17 girls, GHS Batote got better of MS Dalwas to clinch the title, while in Kabaddi Under-14 girls, MS Sawani claimed the trophy.
In Under-17 boys volleyball, HSS Butani trounced HSS Batote in the final, while in Under-17 boys kabaddi, HSS Batote drubbed HS Sanasar. In Under-17 boys badminton, HSS Batote outclassed HS Chanderkote and in Under-17 boys kho-kho, MS Dalwas outplayed HS Sanasar to lift the trophy.
In Under-14 boys kabaddi, MS Batote defeated MS Ludhwal to claim the title, while in Under-14 boys kho-kho, MS Batote outclassed MS Dalwas to win the title.
The Tournament was held under the overall supervision of Dewan Chand Thakur, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ramban and under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Harshi Kesh Kaul.
Principal Higher Secondary School, Batote was the chief guest in the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Joginder Gupta, Ghulam Rasool, Abdul Majid, Bharat Singh, Om Raj and Krishan Lal.
