HP in comfort zone against J&K

JAMMU, Jan 3: Himachal Pradesh were in comfort zone against Jammu and Kashmir in the Cooch Behar Under-19 Cricket Tournament at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium, Amtar in Himachal Pradesh.
Resuming from an overnight total of 143/0, Himachal were comfortably placed at 553/7 at stumps on day-2 of this 4-day match. AS Jamwal was unbeaten on 105 runs, while Kartikey M Chopra was not out on 61 runs.
Earlier, opening batsman, Mohd Arslan Khan slammed brilliant century (106), while Davrat Bikhta, Karmanya R Verma and SR Purohit contributed 84, 66 and 62 runs to the total respectively. Himachal Pradesh has already gained a lead of 325 runs with 3 wickets in hand and two days of play still left in the match.
Brijesh took 3 wickets from Jammu and Kashmir, while Umar Majeed bagged 2. Sahil Lotra and Javaid claimed 1 wicket each.
Earlier, on day-1, J&K had scored 228 runs in the first innings, with Umar Majeed and Junaid Farooq being the star performers.
