UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: The modalities for the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for rejuvenation of Holy River Devika was discussed here today at meeting held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, Hirdesh Kumar.
Pertinently, Rs 170. 54 crore have been approved for this project under National River Conservation Plan by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change.
The meeting was attended by District Development Comm-issioner, Ravinder Kumar, Chief Engineer UEED Mohammad Haneef, Joint Director Planning H&UDD Hari Hari Dutt, Chief Town Planner Jammu Joginder Singh, SE Hydraulic Circle Joginder Kumar, CPO Ashok Khajuria, ACR Subhash Chander Dogra and other district officers.
The Commissioner /Secre-tary directed the consultant agency to take all the stakeholders on board while preparing the DPR for the project. He also stressed upon for preparation of the DPR within stipulated time frame so that the work on the holy project could be undertaken at the earliest.
He asked all the concerned departments to extend their full cooperation to the consultant agency in this regard.
