JAMMU, Jan 27: The Legislative Assembly today paid tributes to the Army men and civilians killed in snow avalanches in Sonamarg and Gurez area of Kashmir.
As soon as the House convened here this morning, Speaker Kavinder Gupta informed the House about the tragic death of the Army men and the civilians in snow avalanches in Sonamarg and Gurez valley.
Paying homage to the deceased army men and the civilians, the Speaker asked the members to observe two minutes silence as a mark of respect for the departed souls. Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Rigzin Jora also raised the issue of paying tributes to the soldiers and civilians.
