JAMMU, Feb 9: Hosts Jammu and Kashmir will be facing Uttarakhand in group-B on the opening day of the much prestigious 73rd National Football Championship of Santosh Trophy North Zone (qualifying round) to be played at Katra town of Reasi district on February 11, 2019.
Chandigarh will also meet Delhi in another match on the same day.
Advisor to the Governor, K Vijay Kumar will inaugurate the tournament, which is being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association under the aegis of All India Football Federation.
The competition is actively supported by JKSSC, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and J&K Bank Ltd.
J&K Squad: Rashid Nalkand, Nirdosh Salgotra, Gagandeep Singh, Vivek Gulati, Gautam Mehra (Captain), Faisal Thakur, Amit Kumar, Shahid Sheraaz, Gulshan Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Sanan Tariq, Shaiker Ahamd Sheikh, Ishan Gupta, Ali Asif Khan, Adanan Ayoub (vice captain), Akif Javeed, Furkan Zargar, Touseef Ahmad and Amritpal Singh.
Satpal Singh will be the Head coach while Rajesh Kumar as Assistant Coach, Dr Shahid Shamim, Physiotherapist, Vijay Kumar, Trainer, Zahoor Teli, Team Manager and Abdul Majeed Kakroo, Technical Director.
