JAMMU, Dec 6: The Newly appointed Grading & Marketing Inspectors of Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department today called on Vice Chairman JAKFED under the guidance of Tehisn Iqbal Chib, Assistant Grading & Marketing Officer Horticulture in order to make them aware of the functioning of the Federation.
During the visit, newly appointed Marketing Inspectors were made aware by the Vice Chairman about the various business activities of JAKFED in different economic areas i.e, procurement and supply of key material (cement, tor, steel bitumen, fertilizer fabricated steel products and LPG distribution) and inspired them to work in a professional manner by selling products directly at reasonable prices thus, eliminating middleman-ship from the field of supply chain .
Addressing the Marketing Inspectors Vice Chairman stressed that to solve the inadequate availability of farmers in the State soon JAKFED is developing Kisan Seva Kendras for agricultural production across the various locations of Jammu & Kashmir in order to boost the agricultural productivity of farmers in the State.
He said it is a complete solution under one roof & we are committed to take our services to every corner of the State.
To promote the organic farming in the State, Sharma further put special emphasis on use of organic fertilizer & underlined the need to revert to organic farming. A gradual shift towards organic should be our aim. Moreover he also lauded the personal efforts of the Tehisn Iqbal Chib Assistant Grading & Marketing Officer Horticulture for establishing the Fruit & Vegetable Mandi at Kathua and Bishnah.
Vice Chairman further asked the Horticulture Officer to make the people aware of these mandies through campaigning & holding seminars so that the farmers may get benefitted through these grain mandies.
