Honeypreet taken to Bathinda for investigations

CHANDIGARH: Haryana police on Thursday took Honeypreet Insan alias Priyanka Taneja, the adopted daughter of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, to Bathinda for investigations.
Police sources said Honeypreet and her accomplice Sukhdeep Kaur were taken to Bathinda in Punjab where she is reported to have spent a few days during her 38-day-long run from the police.
Earlier, both Honeypreet and Sukhdeep were brought to the Sector 20 police station in Panchkula in the morning.
Honeypreet might also be taken to Sirsa for investigations, sources added.
The two were sent to a six-day police remand by a Panchkula court on Wednesday.
Haryana police arrested the adopted daughter of the dera chief and Sukhdeep Kaur from Patiala-Zirakpur highway on Tuesday afternoon. She topped a list of 43 people wanted by the Haryana police in connection with the violence in Panchkula on August 25, after the special CBI court convicted the Dera chief in the rape cases.
She has been charged with sedition and hatching the ‘escape plan’ of the sect head after his conviction. (AGENCIES)
