Honda Garners 9000 Bookings for BR-V

JAMMU, June 28: Bookings for the recently launched Honda BR-V has crossed over 9,000 and so the waiting period of the car has been extended for two more months.
A senior company official reported that BR-V is getting a good response from the customers with over 9,000 bookings registered in a months time.
Regarding this, Senior Vice President and Director of Honda Cars India, Raman Kumar Sharma said, “The product received over 9000 bookings for Honda BR-V, which comes in both diesel and petrol variants, since its launch on May 5. The company has maintained its place in the market and more customers were approaching Honda to buy cars.”
He also added that the sale of petrol cars increased to 72 per cent this year as compared to diesel cars. Diesel cars contributed nearly 40 per cent of the total sale last year and the remaining 60 per cent share was that of the petrol cars.
Honda offers the BR-V with both petrol and diesel engine options at a price range of Rs. 8.75 lakhs to Rs. 12.90 lakhs. The petrol variants of BR-V are powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine returning a fuel economy of 15.4kmpl for the 6-speed Manual gearbox and 16kmpl for the CVT Automatic gearbox. The diesel engine option includes a 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor with a 6-speed Manual gearbox. The fuel efficiency of this BR-V diesel is 21.9kmpl.
