JAMMU, Feb 23: All Biradari, Sabha and Co-ordination Committee (ABSCC) today urged the Government to hold deliberations with the representatives of all the biradaries before implementing its recent order over marriage ceremony as this decision is of public importance.
Addressing a press conference, Vinod Gupta, Organiser, All Biradari, Sabha and Co-ordination Committee (ABSCC) said that the decision to curb the extra expenses during the marriage ceremony by the Government is a welcome step.
“Before implementing this decision, the Government should hold deliberations with the all biradaries as this is a public issue and needed to be implemented very carefully”, he said, adding that there is dire need of some changes in this order, otherwise it will effect the poor people badly.
After having deliberations with all the biradari members and making proper changes in this order, the Government should make it an Act for the benefit of the people especially poor people and to curb the extra expenses during marriage ceremony, Gupta added.
While speaking, President, Dogra Brahman Sabha Ved Parkash Sharma, President Rajput Sabha Narayan Singh and President Jat Kalyan Sabha Kamal Singh demanded distribution of ration to Jammuites holding ration cards at par with Kashmir people.
President, Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Piran Ditta, Chairman, Aggarwal Sabha, Anup Aggarwal, President,Kashyap Rajput Sabha Murari Lal, Vice President, Vishwakarma Sabha Charajeet, President, All India Jat Mahasabha Manmohan Singh, President, Khatri Sabha Vinod Malhotra, President, Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Bodh Raj Sharma, besides representatives of various other biradaries were also present during the press conference.
