POONCH, Oct 22: Hockey tournament organized by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey J&K sponsored by J&K State Sports Council under Khelo India initiative concluded at Sports Stadium, here today.
Abdul Hamid, ADC Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion, who was accompanied by Rajan Sharma, Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, Krishan Lal Retd DSO, Nirdosh Kumar Manager Sports Stadium Poonch, Narjeet Singh, Surinder Singh (ZPEO’S), Mukesh Kumar, PTI GDC Poonch, Ravinder Singh, Matinder Pal Singh (Hockey Coach), Ram Prakash, Sorab Sharma and coaches of different games from Jammu and Poonch.
The competitions were held in Boxing, Cycling, Weightlifting, Athletics and Wrestling.
Final match in hockey was played between Stadium Orange and BHSS Poonch, wherein BHSS Poonch won the match by three goals to nil (3-0). Jagmeet scored two goals in 25th and 45th minute of the match, while Rudhar netted the ball in 50th minute of the match.
Stadium XI beat Young Star Club by two goals to nil (2-0) and got third position. Masoom and Akash scored the goals in 15th and 21st minutes of the match.
The matches were officiated by technical panel of Harmik Singh, Ranveet Singh (NIS hockey), Sunil Raina, Vikas Sharma and Shaid.
The Tournament is being conducted under the technical supervision of Pawan Kumar, Organising Secretary of Hockey Tournament.
