JAMMU, Sept 28: Vigilance Organization, Jammu today conducted Joint Surprise Check in different offices of Rural Development Department on the basis of allegations that large scale bungling was made in installation of flexible hoardings about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, MGNREGA and other centrally Sponsored Schemes by releasing undue payments to the blue eyed persons.
The Joint Surprise Check was conducted in the offices of ACD Doda, Kishtwar, District Panchayat Offices Doda/Kishtwar, BDO offices Thathri/Kishtwar, ACD office Udhampur, ACD office Ramban and District Panchayat offices Udhampur/Ramban to ascertain the genuineness of the progress achieved by the RD Department on ground under these Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
During the Check, records and other incriminating documents were seized by the Vigilance team from the said offices. The records so seized by the Vigilance sleuths are under scrutiny.
Further course of action will be taken into the matter after completion of scrutiny of the record.
