Hit and run case solved, accused arrested

JAMMU, July 11: Jhajjar Kotli police solved hit and run case of Amarnath Yatra pilgrim with the arrest of the accused.
As per police sources, yesterday a Amarnath Yatra pilgrim namely Madan Lal, son of Rudi Mal, a resident of Jaipur was killed after being hit by a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist escaped from the spot after the accident.
After completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
On specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station conducted raid and arrested the accused motorcyclist from District Reasi.
The accused has been identified as Kaish Mohammad, son of Liaqat Ali, a resident of Gran Morh, District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 64/18 stands registered in this regard with Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ajay Singh Chib made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Yashbir Singh and SP Rural Dushyant Sharma.
