KATHUA, Mar 15: Hiranagar Police has seized one kg and 100 grams of charas from a person near Railway Station Hiranagar yesterday.
According to police during its drive to nab the drug peddlers indulging in smuggling of contraband material a police party of PS Hiranagar while patrolling, intercepted a person at Sallan road who was coming from Dayala Chak towards Sallan by foot.
During his frisking police recovered the contraband from his possession. He was arrested on spot.
He was identified as Junaid S/o Ghulam Nabi of Preni near Railway Station.
The Hiranagar Police has registered a case FIR NO 32/2017 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act against him. The investigation in the case has been taken up by Amit Sangra, SHO PS Hiranagar. The whole drive was carried out under the supervision of Ravail Singh Choudhary, SDPO Border, Khalil Ahmed Additional SP Kathua and overall supervision of Pawan Parihar, SSP Kathua.
