Hiranagar HC, Khalsa Club seal berths in semis

JAMMU, Feb 3: Hiranagar Hockey Club defeated Kashmir Sikh Sangat (KSS) Hockey Club by three goals to nil (3-0) to seal berth in the semifinals and join Khalsa Club Gole Gujral which has already qualified for the semifinal spot in the ongoing Senior Hockey Tournament at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
The Tournament is being organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
Earlier, in today’s match, Hiranagar Hockey Club defeated Kashmir Sikh Sangat Hockey Club by (3-1). Rajinder Singh scored the first 2 goals in 14th and 30th minute of the match, while the third and last goal was netted by Sandeep Sharma in 48th minute.
The match was officiated by Iqbal Singh, Karanjit Singh, JS Reen and Vijay Vaid.
Satvir Singh (IAF) was the guest of honour on the occasion, while GS Bakshi, general Secretary Hockey J&K was also present.
In tomorrow’s fixture, MBS Hockey Club, Simbal Camp will take on Deshmesh Club Nagar Nagar in the first match, while Zorawar Hockey Club Satwari will face GNNHC in the second match.
