Hindi Pakhwada by Power Grid concludes

JAMMU, Sept 28: 15-days-long Hindi Pakhwada organized by Power Grid Northern Region Transmission System-II concluded today.
During the fortnight, note drafting, essays, Hindi dictation and poet recitation competitions were conducted for the employees and their family members at all site offices and substations spread in entire region comprising states of J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and UT Chandigarh.
On the concluding day programme today, HK Mallick, Executive Director, NR-II was the chief guest, while Amar Jit, General Manager, Consultancy and Commercial, Tarun Bajaj, DGM, Engineering and PESM, Sanjay Gupta, DGM Finance, SJ Sharma, DGM (C&M), Dr JS Chouhan, Chief Manager (HR), senior officials and employees were also present.
Around 87 prizes were distributed amongst the wining participants by the officials.
Speaking on the occasion, HK Mallick stressed on the fact that Hindi Pakhwada was celebrated to rededicate ourselves to the cause of popularizing usage of Hindi through individual contributions. He expressed satisfaction on the steps being taken in this direction and intimated that Power Grid Management is committed to provide facilities to employees in learning the Hindi and implementing various incentive schemes for employees to encourage them to do official work in Hindi.
