Himachal Govt to fill 200 posts of doctors through walk-in interviews

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Government today decided to hold walk-in interviews for doctors to fill 200 vacant posts of medical officers (MBBS) in Health and Family Department on contractual basis.

According to an official release, the step is taken to meet the shortage of doctors particularly in rural and far flung areas.

The Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also decided to amend the policy on tendering bond  money for MBBS doctors who pursue higher courses, MD/MS degree or diploma, super specialty – – DM/MCH courses and DNB courses –, Master Courses within and outside the state.

It will be a major relief for MBBS doctors undergoing PG courses who were facing hardship in obtaining bank guarantees for their courses, the release said. (AGENCIES)
