Hike in China’s defence budget cause of worry: NCP

JAMMU, Mar 6: State president of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Thakur Randhir Singh has said that sharp hike in China’s defence budget is cause of worry for our country.
In a press statement here today, the NCP leader said 8.1 % hike in China’s budget which unveiled on Monday is higher than last year’s budget allocation. He said China’s this budget is three times higher than India’s Defence budget and it is cause of worry for the country.
Singh strongly supported General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff’s statement that economic development, modernization in Army must go together. He condemned those who question the budgetary allocation to Armed forces and said India has to build  and develop confidence among people that its borders are secure and internal situation also well under control. He said for this, there is utmost requirement of hike in defence budget.
