High speed internet snapped in South Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Oct 1: On the directions of police, cellular companies have snapped high speed internet in South Kashmir Districts of Valley since midnight.
A telecom official said that police directed them to snap high speed 3G and 4G mobile internet services in Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian Districts. “The direction was passed at midnight and accordingly, the mobile internet speed was reduced to 2G,” he said.
Sources said that the internet speed has been reduced to curb circulation of videos of protests against braid cutting and also rumor mongering in this regard.
