Heroin, poppy straw seized, 2 held

JAMMU, Nov 23: Bari Brahmana Police during a surprise naka at Gurha Morh Smailpur, Bari Brahmana intercepted one Muzafar Hussain, 27,   son of Nazar Hussain resident of Barjani Talab, Bari Brahmana on suspicious ground and recovered six grams of heroin from his possession.
He was arrested and the contraband seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 211/2017 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at police station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
The naka was laid by Bari Brahamna Police at Gurha Morh headed by Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SHO Bari Brahmana under the supervision of Usman Choudhry SDPO. The naka was laid on the directives of SSP Samba , Anil Mangotra to arrest the menace of  smuggling, drug trafficking and gambling in the district.
Meanwhile in a similar incident, Police Party of Police Station Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SHO Bari Brahmana in close coordination with DSB Samba under the direct supervision of  Usman Choudhary, SDPO Bari Brahmana and overall supervision of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba laid a surprise naka at Shah Talab Bari Brahmana and intercepted one Alto Car bearing registration No. JK21A-3034 and during car checking three kgs of poppy straw was recovered from the possession of one person namely Maqbool Hussain son of  Mohd Din resident of Bari Shan Talab, Bari Brahmana.
He was arrested on spot along with contraband. In this regard case FIR No. 210/2017 under section 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at police station Bari Brahmana and investigation is going on.
