Hero FC to take on J&K PDC in final

JAMMU, Jan 18: Defeating their respective rivals in the semifinal clashes, Hero Football Club and J&K TDC XI sailed into the finals and will take on each other in the summit clash in the ongoing 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the aegis of jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first semifinal, Hero FC defeated Shaheen FC by six goals to five (6-5) via tie-breaker.
Earlier, in the stipulated time, both the teams scored one goal each. Basit was the goal scorer for Hero FC in 29th minute, while Arjun netted the goal for Shaheen FC in 48th minute.
In another semifinal, J&K PDC drubbed J&K Police XI by two goals to nil (2-0). Abid Mushtaq netted both the gaols in 21st and 55th minutes.
The matches were officiated by Ricky Kumar, Suresh Gupta, Vijay Kuamr, Rockey Sharma, Dheeraj Menia and Ajay Singh.
The amtch match will be played at 3 pm tomorrow.
