HDFC Bank branches cross 75 mark in J&K

SRINAGAR, Nov 20: With the launch of new branches at Mendhar (Poonch) and Bantalab (Jammu), HDFC Bank has crossed the milestone of 75 branches in J&K.
A handout stated that HDFC Bank has rapidly expanded its branch network in Jammu & Kashmir in the past 15 years and has also given a concerted push to the Digital Banking strategy in the State as part of its efforts to deliver services using multiple technology platforms.
At present, the Bank has 76 branches and 211 ATMs in the State where the very first branch was set up in the year 2003.
“Apart from the facility of ‘Bank Aap Ki Muththi Mein’ to offer banking services on mobile phones, the facility of digital initiatives including Watch banking and PayZapp are also available with the Bank,” Zubair Iqbal, Circle Head – J&K, HDFC Bank said.
At a national level, HDFC Bank has 54 per cent of its branches in semi-urban and rural areas and is continuously extending its reach in the hinterland in its endeavour to support inclusive growth.
