JAMMU, July 9: High Court has restrained police from filing charge-sheet in FIR registered at Bani Police Station under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 RPC.
The order was passed in a petition filed by Mohd Imtiaz through Advocate Mohd Latif Malik, who submitted that complaint filed by real uncle of the petitioner was totally false and frivolous and aimed at pressurizing the petitioner for not pressing land dispute.
After hearing counsel for the petitioner, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal issued notice to SHO, Sub-Divisional Police Officer and Abdul Majid, son of Ghulam Din of Lowang. In the meanwhile, High Court restrained the police from presenting charge-sheet till further orders.
